HonorBound Men's Ministries is committed to meeting the unique needs of men, and developing them to become the spiritual leaders in their homes, churches and communities as God intended. It is our desire in Indiana that HonorBound be seen as the local church's ministry to men. When this happens the district and national HonorBound offices serve as resource and network points to strengthen and assist the local church's ministry in reaching men. The Local Church The front line in reaching men happens on the local church level. At the local church level, men are discipled and taught. They develop relationships for accountability and support in daily living. They discover and find an avenue, through ministry, to fulfill the call that God has on each and every man. As the name HonorBound signifies; men discover they have the potential for service in the Kingdom of God. They learn that through the Holy Spirit they are empowered to step up in service as godly husbands, godly fathers, and godly supporters of their pastors and full fledged servants of their Lord Jesus. It's at the level of the local church that the uniqueness of the ministry of HonorBound is seen. Part of the goal of HonorBound is to help men become the spiritual leaders in their home and families. This shift from traditional ministry, which focused on only getting men involved in activities, is what makes the local church so critical in the HonorBound team ministry. It is at the local church that men become engaged in a lifetime of discipleship development and training. Through out all three levels of HonorBound, the focus has been to move men's ministry from an event driven ministry to a process driven ministry.
The District Office. Indiana HonorBound, the men's ministry of the Indiana District Assemblies of God, serves as a resource and network point for local churches in Indiana. Here local churches have a contact point with other churches. They become part of a statewide and nationwide organization that is training and empowering men to step into the role God intended for them as champions of God, their wives, their families, and their churches. The District office provides resources to the local church which include; training in various areas of ministry to men, speakers for local venues, and statewide events which serve as entry points for reaching other men and enhance what is happening on the local church level.
The National Office. The National HonorBound office, located in Springfield MO. at the General Council offices of the Assemblies of God serves as a resource and network point for churches and districts across the nation. The national office develops many of the training resources used in the HonorBound ministry. They serve as a resource to network districts across the nation and ensure continuity in the focus and vision of HonorBound. By working together on each of these three levels, HonorBound is quickly growing to be a major influence in growing godly men.
Resources and events that are available to churches in Indiana have been developed to advance the discipleship and team building process.
